Cyberpunk 2077 Getting "Serious" Update On April 8

Cyberpunk 2077 might have gotten off to a rocky start, but years later, it's the gift that keeps on giving. For the most part, developer CD Projekt Red has shifted its focus to The Witcher 4 and a planned Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, which should be more than enough to keep the studio occupied.

Even so, CDPR still hasn't moved on from the game entirely. While CDPR isn't likely to drop any more massive expansions on the scale of Phantom Liberty, various improvements are still on the table. The newest update is coming tomorrow, and this one promises to be a "serious upgrade" for the game.

Today, the official PlayStation Blog shared the details of the PS5 Pro update for Cyberpunk 2077, set to go live on April 8. This update will bring both new technology and several different modes to the game to take advantage of the PS5 Pro's hardware, solidifying an experience that should be a world apart from Cyberpunk 2077's rough console launch in 2020.

According to the blog post, the update will take advantage of PlayStation's PSSR scaling technology to bring more detail to the game, similar to what DLSS can achieve on PC...
