Pokémon Winds and Waves are releasing in 2027, but there's already been a lot of talk surrounding the games' Gen 10 Pokédex. A number of new and returning Pokémon were shown off in the first trailer for the games back in February, and alleged leaks have continued to show off regional variants and more.
Most of the modern Pokémon games have had around 400 Pokémon in their respective Pokédex, usually after all DLC has been released. This is why many fans are assuming Gen 10 games will have a similar Pokédex count, even though Winds and Waves are supposedly much larger games in terms of scale and scope. Over on Reddit, the size of Winds and Waves' Pokédex is already a hot-button issue.
"Do you think they will keep the Pokédex at 400 or expand it?" the original post on Reddit reads. "Personally i'm hoping for more than the 400 they gave us for both Sword/Shield and S/V." It's exactly the kind of question that's fun to debate and speculate over. And many fans weighed in on what they'd like from Winds and Waves' Pokédex.
