007 First Light is almost here, but the latest update confirms that some fans will have to wait longer than others. Originally set to release on March 27, 2026, the upcoming James Bond game was already hit with a delay to May 27. While the May 27 date is sticking for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, it won't apply to Nintendo Switch 2 owners.

The official 007 First Light account confirmed on X that the Nintendo Switch 2 release will come "later this summer," following the spread of a rumor about its delay. Developer IO Interactive doesn't provide a reason for the delay, but promises "the best game experience possible across all platforms."

While the news might come as a disappointment to Switch 2 owners looking forward to James Bond's next adventure, the delay isn't as rough as it could have been. Insider Gaming initially reported that 007 First Light's Switch 2 release was "delayed indefinitely," so the confirmation of a summer window is reassuring by comparison.
