Halo fans have had mixed feelings about the upcoming remake of Halo: CE, affectionately titled Halo: Campaign Evolved. The new ground-up remake of the original Halo game modernizes the campaign mode and story for Halo: Combat Evolved, but to many fans' disappointment, doesn't include any multiplayer gameplay features—the defining aspect of the series.

In response to a recent leak on X that apparently reveals Halo: Campaign Evolved's official release date and details about Early Access, fans on Reddit aren't holding any punches. The original leak is from a well-known source in the Halo-sphere, grunt.api, a source that was on of the first to provide details about Halo Studios' migration to Unreal Engine.

According to the leak, Halo: Campaign Evolved is set to launch on July 28, 2026, with an Early Access period planned starting July 23. While still unconfirmed, the timeline makes sense given previous announcements from Halo Studios and Xbox, not to mention the upcoming showcase in June. If the leak is true, an official release date confirmation is likely to drop soon considering the details have already started circulating heavily online.
