GTA 6 Devs' Next Game Isn't What We Expected

For a while to come yet, all the attention from Rockstar fans is understandably going to be on the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI, a game that may well hold the crown of most highly anticipated video game of all time.

The studio is going to be all in on getting that into players' hands until at least November, following which a large portion of ongoing development will be dedicated to maintaining the new-look GTA Online (and ideally some single-player story DLCs and updates this time around).

What comes next is much more up in the air, with the obvious presumption being a third game in the epic Western Red Dead Redemption series. Things might not be as simple as that though, and it could be something entirely different when the time finally does come for a new Rockstar release.

As first reported by GAMINGbible, the studio was kicking around the idea for an entirely new IP known as Project Medieval, which was originally revealed as part of a leak several years ago.
