Disney Characters Reportedly Appearing In ARC Raiders Clone Releasing This Year

A Disney partnership has reportedly resulted in the creation of an extraction shooter à la ARC Raiders that is expected to release later this year. The House of Mouse is no stranger to gaming; its numerous properties result in plenty of games, from recent interstellar smuggling fantasy Star Wars Outlaws to the ongoing Disney Lorcana trading card game. An extraction shooter is unexpected, though, even when considering the breakout success of ARC Raiders.

Disney is nonetheless attempting a similar game in partnership with developer Epic Games, according to Bloomberg. "Along the lines of" ARC Raiders, the shooter will see "Disney characters battling enemies until they can reach an extraction point." This is the first of three games being developed via the partnership between Disney and Epic Games, which saw the former "invest $1.5 billion in Epic two years ago." Disney and Epic's extraction shooter is aiming for a November 2026 release.

This partnership has already born fruit for Epic's monolithic battle royale, Fortnite, which has featured Star Wars and Marvel characters for years.
