Before Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase this summer, PlayStation seems poised to make quite a few exciting announcements of its own. PlayStation has been awfully quiet lately while Xbox’s next-gen Project Helix console was announced, but it may be letting its games speak for themselves, and much sooner than you might suspect.
As per user FitNectarine5779 on Reddit, rumors are converging with possible announcements or updates arriving in the coming months. How exactly this will take shape is undetermined, but the timing of these rumors and how they might transpire does not seem to be a mere coincidence, though PlayStation gamers should still exercise caution and take as many grains of salt as they deem fit.
If these rumors are to be believed, we may be treated to one or more PlayStation State of Plays between now and June (as early as April 16, apparently), focusing on “AAA third-party games” and “Wolverine, Cory’s game with Faye.” Marvel’s Wolverine receiving a State of Play is the least fallible of these rumors, of course, as Insomniac has recently doubled down on us getting more news about it by “Spring 2026.”
