God of War really has been one of the most consistent series in video game history, delivering immense experiences to players over the course of two decades. Though it has been on proverbial ice since Ragnarok, with no news about developer Sony Santa Monica Studio's plans, rumors are starting to grow that the next game is on the way.
The problem everyone has right now is that there are a lot of questions about what exactly the next game is going to look like. Kratos has been the stalwart protagonist for God of War's entire run, but the ending of the last game throws into question his capacity to get back out there to start killing deities again.
The noise growing around the next God of War game has also brought with it a bunch of additional information about what we're actually going to get, with the leading theory that the next game will see Kratos' wife Faye stepping in as the main protagonist for this next run out.
