The highly anticipated mid-season update for Marathon has finally arrived, and with it comes tons of quality-of-life improvements, further balancing changes, and new content to hunt in the game. Since it launched back in March, Marathon has proven to be a very reactive experience, especially when compared to Bungie's other live-service game, Destiny 2.
In about a month and a half, Marathon has seen numerous major changes to the core experience, largely fueled by the community of players voicing their opinions online. Bungie has even quickly added new features and content, such as shifting its weekend schedule featuring Ranked Mode and the endgame Cryo Archive map, so players wouldn't have to pick one or the other. A Duos mode for Marathon was also heavily tested publicly, with creative director Joe Ziegler keeping fans updated on how things were going.
