Steam has suddenly delisted a large number of games without any warning, including one classic Star Wars title. There are, of course, dozens of incredible Star Wars video games out there that you can play right now, but losing a video game, any video game, is always a damn shame.
At the time of writing, there's been no explanation from Valve or Disney as to why this game has vanished along with 14 others, all of which are based on Disney properties. This particular Star Wars game is probably the biggest loss of all, but there are some other real bangers that have been pulled from Steam forever, and we hate to see it.
While 15 Disney-licensed video games have vanished from Steam, the most notable by far is Star Wars: Dark Forces. Originally released back in 1996, Dark Forces is a first-person shooter set around the events of A New Hope. In it, we play as Kyle Katarn, a mercenary for the Rebel Alliance who discovers the Galactic Empire's secret Dark Trooper Project, an initiative designed to create super-powerful Stormtroopers.
The good news is that Steam has only pulled the original 1995 version of the game....
