Dataminers have noticed a significant increase in the game’s overall file size, jumping from 65 GB to 77 GB, according to Eurogamer. The data, pulled from SteamDB, has sparked speculation that something larger is on the way, especially when compared to updates like Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, which came in at around 16 GB. As of now, Capcom hasn’t confirmed what this mysterious addition actually is.
This potential expansion is especially notable given how well the base game was received. In our Dragon’s Dogma 2 review, we called it a “masterwork comeback,” praising its ambitious world design, dynamic combat, and the freedom it gives players to carve their own path. That kind of foundation makes the idea of a substantial DLC drop even more exciting.
Capcom also recently shared a celebratory image featuring the game’s NPCs gathered in a tavern, raising a drink together, a small but welcome reminder that the game is still very much on their mind.
