If you're looking for something new to play to scratch that open-world itch, a brand-new free RPG has landed on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The best part is, you don't need a subscription to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass to check this one out. Basically, if you have Crimson Desert FOMO, this one is for you.

Crimson Desert has established itself as one of the most popular games of the year since launching last month. Developer Pearl Abyss has rolled out multiple updates in an impressive span of time, making the open-world fantasy RPG a ton of fun to play after a fairly bumpy launch. Of course, not everyone can afford Crimson Desert right now, and while this free alternative is hardly on exactly the same level as Pearl Abyss' offering, it's a slice of open-world fun that won't cost you a dime.
