At this point, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced is one of Ubisoft's worst-kept secrets. Although we've received soft confirmation of its existence from Ubisoft in the past, we don't have many details, and the publisher barely acknowledges it. That changes now, though.

Thanks to Insider Gaming, we now know when we're finally going to see the Assassin's Creed: Black Flag remake. It's coming a lot sooner than expected.

According to the report, Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be released on July 9, 2026. In a long-standing rumor that the game would be fully revealed by Ubisoft today, the announcement was reportedly delayed. The publisher is set to give us the full rundown next week, but until then, you can start planning your July gaming calendar.

Released in 2013under its full title, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, this iteration of the popular series featured the protagonist, Edward Kenway, sailingthe West Indies during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century. It's still known as one of the most beloved games in the franchise, as it eschewed the meta-modern-day narrative featuring Desmond, and focused entirely on what people wanted to see: a slick assassin hero....
