The Legend of Zelda remains one of the biggest and most iconic franchises in the history of video games, and 2026 just so happens to be the year when the game is set to celebrate its 40th anniversary. As part of that, fans are expecting some big things, not least confirmation that the long-rumored Ocarina of Time remake is on the way at some point this year or next.
For many who grew up in the 1990s, Ocarina of Time is still seen as one of the real high points in the series, or across the industry as a whole for that matter.
