Players have already been enjoying multiple playthroughs of Resident Evil Requiem, with many making fun new Easter egg discoveries and others finding optimized routes and strategies, but a number of fans are eagerly awaiting more gameplay updates to the survival horror title. Capcom has already confirmed that a story DLC and mini-game are on the way, and one player may have found evidence of the popular Mercenaries Mode as the next big addition coming up to Resident Evil Requiem.
Mercenaries Mode first debuted in the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis in 1999 and saw players facing hoards of zombies and other bioweapons in timed challenges. While each iteration of Mercenaries Mode in Resident Evil history has varied slightly, and often differing based on which playable character is chosen, it has been widely considered to be one of the best mini-games in the series. As such, it would come as no surprise to see the iconic mode making a triumphant return in Resident Evil Requiem, and there may already be early clues of Capcom's desire to bring Mercenaries Mode back.
