Samson Game Gives Update on PS5 Version

From GameRant (Written by Cameron Swan) on | OpenCritic

Developer Liquid Swords has just confirmed that the console versions of Samson are currently slated for a Fall 2026 release. While the exact platforms are unconfirmed at this time, it's very likely that Samson's console ports will include PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions at the very least.

Led by one of the key figures behind the Just Cause series, Samson is the first game from new studio Liquid Swords. Samson is a third-person action-adventure game that sees players assume the role of the eponymous former criminal who's forced back into a world of crime in order to pay off some serious debts. The game released on PC on April 8, and unfortunately, it wasn't met with the best reception from critics or general audiences. Samson currently sits at a Top Critic Average of 53 on OpenCritic, with just 33% of critics recommending the game. Over on Steam, Samson has a "Mixed" rating based on 2,414 user reviews. GameRant's own Nick Rodriguez gave Samson a 3/10, calling it a "a broken, boring, charmless mess of a game that needed either more time in the oven or a stronger vision."
