Xbox Officially Unveils New Hardware, Coming Next Month

Two new limited-edition pieces of Xbox hardware are coming out next month, commemorating the release of one of the year's most anticipated Xbox games. As we wind down the Series X/S' lifecycle, many players are looking ahead to what comes next. The next-generation Xbox, currently codenamed Project Helix, is still a ways off.

But that doesn't mean we can't look forward to less groundbreaking new hardware releases in the meantime, especially when they look as good as this one does. May will see the release of a new limited-edition controller and headset that blend retro flair with decidedly modern internals.

Per Xbox on X (formerly Twitter), Xbox Series X/S consoles are getting a brand-new controller and headset to coincide with the release of Forza Horizon 6. Both the game and the hardware will be out on May 19, and can be preordered now from the official Microsoft store (linked above).

Internally, the controller is a regular old Series X/S controller — what matters is what's on the outside. Its body is made up of turquoise and hot pink plastic, with retro-style transparent plastic around the colorful face buttons allowing you to see what's under the hood....
