Shang Wu Zhi(尚武誌) or Martial Art’s History, is a one-man-produced indie fighting game that seems to be gaining attention of the fighting game crowd. The 2D fighting game project seems to have some mechanics found in other fighting games, such as supers and EX special moves thrown in. Roro Otaku Studio had posted the logos for the game in earlier posts. They’ve even applied for their Steam page.
From the Twitter/X page, Drunken Master’s lead, Ip Man, Chan Zen from Fist of Legend, and the Kung Fu Hustle Landlady, are covered so far in terms of roster inspiration. The Brussels Challenge major fighting game tournament, along with the Evo Indie Showcase, could offer a sneak peek at the game for fans to check out early.
Personally, it has been giving me Martial Masters vibes all the way throughout the trailers, which is always a great thing.
