20 years ago, The Legend of Zelda fans around the world got the game they'd been waiting for ever since rolling credits on Ocarina of Time in 1998. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess landed on GameCube and Wii back in 2006, and sent players on Link's biggest and most cinematic quest to date.
It's hard to overstate just how excited fans were for Twilight Princess. After the experimental Majora's Mask and the cartoony Wind Waker, here at last was a true spiritual successor to the mighty Ocarina of Time. Personally, it's far from my favorite Zelda adventure, but I understand why so many put it at the top of their list. And even a Zelda game I don't rush to replay too often is still an incredible game.
Yes, it's been a while since I've played through Twilight Princess, but an upcoming unofficial re-release is guaranteed to draw me back in for another adventure with Link and Midna.
