After Red Dead Redemption got its official next-gen upgrade for modern consoles in late 2025, rumors began swirling almost immediately regarding an in-kind new Red Dead Redemption 2 current-gen upgrade. Seeing as the December RDR1 upgrade was a complete surprise for fans, players have been bracing for an equally surprising announcement from Rockstar Games for the RDR2 upgrade.
Seeing as Rockstar has their hands full with a little game called GTA 6 at the moment, it's not a huge shocker that we haven't seen much new Red Dead content as of late.
