After a lengthy development journey marked by multiple closed betas, HoYoverse’s urban fantasy action RPG Zenless Zone Zero is finally making its way to Steam. The game, which spent considerable time in testing phases before its full launch, has clearly benefited from all that player feedback from the prior releases and it’s about to reach an even wider audience now that the game is finally heading to Steam.
Alongside the Steam announcement, HoYoverse confirmed that Version 2.8, titled “New: Eridan Sunset,” goes live on May 6. It’s the final chapter of Season 2, and things are getting complicated out in the Outer Ring. A mysterious figure named Ramiel has become the target of multiple factions, and it falls to the Proxies to uncover what he’s really up to, with some unexpected help.
Two new agents are headlining the update. Promeia, the executioner of Krampus, is an S-Rank Ice Anomaly agent built around triggering Abloom through her Trial by Cold mechanic. Her EX Special Attack puts her in a Bound Absolution state that auto-dodges incoming attacks, and she gets bonus Abloom damage when paired with another Anomaly or Support agent.
