Final Fantasy 14 is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 this summer, Square Enix has confirmed during the 2026 Anaheim FanFest event. However, the highly anticipated Switch 2 version of Final Fantasy 14 will have some major caveats for players to consider ahead of its full release.
The Anaheim FanFest keynote address was headlined by the reveal of Final Fantasy 14: Evercold, the game's sixth expansion. Set to launch in January 2027, Evercold will take the Warrior of Light and their comrades to the icy lands of the Fourth Reflection, a parallel shard of the Source world of Etheirys. Evercold will include a new Tank Job and a new Ranged Physical DPS Job, though more details about them will be revealed in subsequent FanFest events in Berlin and Tokyo.
