Despite 2026 already shaping up to be a fantastic year for gaming so far, we're still waiting on updates for massive franchises like The Last of Us for when we can expect to jump into their worlds once more. Thankfully, there is at least one exciting title on the horizon that doesn't have nearly as long a wait, being great for fans of TLOU divided over its potential sequel.

Even though there hasn't been a shortage of zombie games lately, there's one upcoming indie title on the horizon that already looks like it will offer an incredibly memorable gameplay experience, especially if its latest trailer and mix of creative perspectives are anything to go by.

Having recently received a brand-new gameplay trailer uploaded to the official Hillfort Games YouTube channel, the 2027 release of the indie game LONG GONE has been sparking plenty of interest from more than just fans of the post-apocalyptic zombie survival genre.
