Final Fantasy 14 is about to get a lot different once the Evercold expansion arrives in January 2027. At the Final Fantasy USA Fan Fest event in Anaheim, California, this week, Square Enix unveiled the next era of the game, and it's pretty astounding what the team has in store for everyone.
While new content is a given, a monumental Neon Genesis Evangelion crossover really stole the show. Producer Naoki "Yoshi P" Yoshida shared that this Eva crossover would take the form of an Alliance Raid "series," offering months of Eva content for fans. The room exploded live in Anaheim when this all happened, and for good reason.
