Insomniac Venom Game Gets Confusing Update

The fate of Venom from Insomniac Games is currently in question, as contradictory reports are circulating about the status of the PlayStation game. Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released on PS5 in 2023, by developer Insomniac Games. The story offered a retelling of the Venom storyline that originated in the Spider-Man comics, with Peter Parker initially wearing the Symbiote costume.

Shortly after Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was released, a ransomware attack leaked a Venom PS5 game from Insomniac. The game was supposedly going to be released in 2025, but its existence has never been officially confirmed. That year came and went without any kind of announcement, so there has been a lot of concern about the status of the project, and if it's still in development at the PlayStation-owned studio.
