Lara Croft's adventure is starting again with Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagined version of the 1996 Tomb Raider game. One of two Tomb Raider games announced at The Game Awards 2025, this one is hoped to be a perfect entry point to the series for newcomers and should also provide plenty of nostalgia for players who enjoyed the first iteration.

As we celebrate the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider on October 24, 2026, it just feels like the perfect year for an updated and reimagined version of the classic game to launch. However, with rumors and leaks seemingly giving conflicting information on the game, it's hard to know what to believe. So far, no official release date for Legacy of Atlantis has been provided, nor have any additional trailers or information about progress on the game's development.

That said, despite leaks suggesting the game is being delayed into next year, or even 2028, things could actually be looking much better than feared.
