The future of Star Wars video games is finally starting to look up again, and Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be one of the first new titles to arrive. Like Star Wars: Zero Company, Galactic Racer is currently scheduled for a nebulous 2026 release window, although the all-too-common delays for Star Wars games might have fans concerned that either or both could slip out of the window.

Luckily, an update to the Steam page may have just confirmed that the 2026 window is on track. While the information has disappeared again, a change on Friday night offered a specific release date for the game despite the lack of an official announcement.

According to the temporary Steam page revision, Star Wars: Galactic Racer will release on October 6, as reported by Reddit user Spider-Fan77. An image comparing the Standard and Deluxe editions of the game was also added to the page, offering a first look at planned pre-order and deluxe edition bonuses. This established that pre-orders will gain access to a player banner and livery, while the deluxe edition will come with a player banner, livery, digital art book, exclusive repulsorcraft, deluxe livery, and arcade events....
