Fortnite has admitted that it was a mistake to disqualify pro players for the use of drop calculators, but it seems that it is too late to let them return to the competition. With Fortnite Battle Royale's rise to popularity, it quickly caught the attention of streamers and professional esports players. So, it's no surprise that its competitive scene grew extensively within a few years. Nearly every day, there is some sort of high-stakes tournament that allows players to make a name for themselves and earn some real money.

Currently, the Fortnite Championship Series is the most important Fortnite event in the world. Throughout the year, those who have proved themselves and qualified go toe-to-toe against the best in their region and, eventually, if they make it to the next stages, face the best players across the globe in a major LAN event. Major 1 is the first part of the competition, and it includes players from the EU and NAC. It began in mid-April, and finals were scheduled for April 25 and 26. Unfortunately, not everyone who qualified for the Major 1 finals made it, as some duos were DQ'd.
