Valve truly has been on a roll this past year. The Steam Deck really picked up...steam...and the company announced a whole new suite of hardware coming in the near future. In addition to the Steam Controller, Steam Machines are coming, along with a new VR headset in the form of the Steam Frame.
The company has been extremely busy since the last iteration of all the above, working on technological advancements while fighting rising hardware costs and worldwide logistical issues. It's definitely been hectic behind the scenes, but pretty soon, we'll be able to see the fruits of their labor.
