It's hard to believe 25 years have passed since Final Fantasy 10 first released, and it remains one of the most beloved entries in the entire franchise to this day. Final Fantasy 10 fans have been surprised before, with players getting an official FFX and FFX-2 HD Remaster back in 2014, and it has fans wondering if we'll finally get the big remake announcement we've been praying for as a 25th Anniversary release.

While those HD Remasters were great ten or so years ago, fans argue we're overdue for a proper modern overhauled remake of FFX and FFX-2, one with modernized graphics on an Unreal Engine 5 level of fidelity, a potentially expanded world that allows us to explore Spira in more depth, an improved or enhanced combat system, and more.

While Square Enix still hasn't announced a major remake for Final Fantasy 10, they've finally officially unveiled an exciting upcoming planned release to celebrate the 25-year anniversary, available to pre-order now on the official Square Enix FFX25 site.
