The Nintendo Switch 2 has been a really exciting next step for the company's storied hardware history, offering gaming heights that they have rarely been able to hit in the past. A big part of that is the ability to return to old games, like The Legend of Zelda series, as part of the Nintendo Switch Online catalog.

Whatever generation of games you happen to be a fan of, there's usually something available at no extra cost beyond the monthly subscription. That includes The Wind Waker, the beloved GameCube release that is starkly different from much of the series, but fans aren't particularly happy with what they have got.

Over on Reddit, one player shared a funny image of Wind Waker Link looking quite shocked, with the caption, "When Link heard the upcoming Switch 2 would have a worse version of Wind Waker than the now 13-year-old Wii U."

The reason for this discontent is that the version of the game players can access on the Switch 2 is the original GameCube version, which has really begun to show its age, particularly on modern screens. As such, fans have been calling for the HD remaster Wii U version...
