One upcoming James Bond star might be the perfect pick for Amazon's reboot.
An upcoming star joining the 007-led franchise has been pushing for one particularly new James Bond actor to lead Amazon's upcoming reboot of the spy film series. The upcoming James Bond reboot movie is the first to be produced by Amazon, who acquired creative rights to the franchise in 2025. The full franchise is being overseen by Amy Pascal and David Heyman. The first upcoming movie — and 26th installment in the franchise — will be directed by Denis Villeneuve (Dune: Part Two) and written by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders).
Now, speaking with Radio Times Gaming at the BAFTA Game Awards, actor Lennie James revealed he wants to see actor Patrick Gibson take on the role of James Bond. Gibson voices Bond in the upcoming video game 007 First Light, where his likeness is also used via motion capture of the actor. The video game documents Bond's origin story as a young MI6 agent.
