Hogwarts Legacy is a game that really doesn't try to challenge the player with anything too adult, an understandable decision giving the target audience for Harry Potter and the Wizarding World does tend to skew a little younger.
There are some tense and exciting moments along the way, but the developer avoided straying into anything outright scary along the way, with potentially frightening locations like the Shrieking Shack taking a backseat. That said, there is one quest that really consistently takes players by surprise, and it's a horror-filled departure from the formula that really is totally out of place among the wider game.
