DC games have had a rough go for the last decade, and fans have been eagerly awaiting and praying for the announcement of a sequel or successor to Injustice 2. Batman: Arkham games have been the only reliable pillar for DC games aside from LEGO Batman and DC games, for instance, and whether a third Injustice game is planned remains unknown, especially while NetherRealm basks in the success of its more popular fighting game IP, Mortal Kombat.
Of course, Injustice is not completely out of luck, and the franchise itself still has a lingering presence via Injustice 2 Mobile. This version of the game receives new updates often and boasts a solid playerbase, but Injustice 2 Mobile’s newest update has brought its age into question and made the craving for Injustice 3 far worse as James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe continuity begins to blossom.
