ARC Raiders Is Officially Getting A Major Upgrade

ARC Raiders has been plugging along admirably since it's launch last year, bringing monthly major updates to players, and the most recent brings a subtle but impressive upgrade to the extraction shooter. Version 1.26, called Riven Tides, is the final stop on ARC Raiders' first 2026 roadmap. It adds a sixth map to the game, a new ARC enemy to grapple with, and a host of other fresh content, but the Riven Tides update also brings an unexpected performance upgrade – for those who have a PlayStation 5 Pro.

With the Riven Tides update releasing on April 28, ARC Raiders players on PS5 Pro now have access to the latest version of PSSR, Sony's proprietary upscaling tech. PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution is designed to produce a higher resolution without adversely affecting frame rate by reconstructing the image output "pixel by pixel," according to the PlayStation Blog announcement. Those playing ARC Raiders on PS5 Pro can expect a sharper image, especially with regard to fine details like rainfall, lighting, and distant moving objects.
