Fallout Officially Announces New Release For Gamers

As a series, Fallout is in an okay place right now thanks to the release of wider content connected to the franchise, but the fact remains that developer Bethesda is very much behind the times on bringing us new games to play. The Elder Scrolls VI continues to occupy much of their workforce, and understandably so given the 2011 release date of Skyrim, and that means we likely aren't getting Fallout 5 in this decade.

While that's obviously a massive shame, players continue to return to the older games in their thousands to explore what are still brilliant worlds and locations, even if we have seen them a thousand times before at this point. Happily, there is a new official release of Fallout 4 on the way, and it brings the game to the fastest growing platform on the planet.

Over on Twitter/X, the official Bethesda Game Studios profile confirmed that both Fallout 4 and Skyrim are on the way to the Switch 2, via their respective Anniversary Editions. In even better news, you don't have to wait to get them, with both the physical code-in-box edition and digital versions available right now.
