A third entry in the Injustice series is apparently in the works from NetherRealm Studios, according to a leak from an artist that seems to have worked on the game. Injustice: Gods Among Us was released in 2013, offering a fighting game experience somewhat similar to Mortal Kombat. The difference is that Injustice features characters like Superman and Wonder Woman in place of MK icons such as Scorpion and Katana.
Since the original game, Injustice has become a full franchise for Warner Bros. and DC. There have been comics adaptations, action figures, and an Injustice animated film was released in 2021. Injustice 2 came out back in 2017, and rumors about a third game in the series have been circulating for several years. Nothing has been officially confirmed, but Injustice 3 seems inevitable, at some point.
