While the big focus over at Rockstar Games is clearly on a little game called GTA 6 right now, there's still plenty of love left for Red Dead Redemption. An official next-gen upgrade of the original was released in late 2025 for modern consoles, and Red Dead Online continues to get a steady steam of regular (if not particularly exciting) updates.
Now, it would appear that we need to mark our calendars for May. For one thing, we should finally learn more about GTA 6 next month. But perhaps more importantly for our cowboy friends out there, Red Dead Redemption is officially back with a brand-new release on May 4. Yes, Rockstar hasn't completely forgotten about Red Dead Redemption, and we love to see it.
As first spotted by Rockstar Intel, a listing for the long-rumored physical edition of Red Dead Redemption on PS5 has now appeared on Amazon in the USA. Before now, it was possible to buy the PS4 version of the game physically and then upgrade digitally, or simply purchase the PS5 version outright digitally.
