Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 is on its way, and it sounds like it's coming way sooner than expected. After the four-year gap between Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the much more expansive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the general assumption was that the final chapter of the trilogy would arrive in 2028. Not so, it would seem.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi recently confirmed once again that development on the project is coming along brilliantly, and that we can expect to learn more soon. What's more, the game's mysterious subtitle has now been decided after it was initially narrowed down to two options last year.

In a recent interview with Comicbook, Hamaguchi confirmed that development is "proceeding on time and on schedule", which is great to hear.

"What I can say is that development itself is proceeding on time and on schedule," Hamaguchi explained. "We believe it’ll become a title we can deliver with confidence as the culmination of the trilogy. We know many fans are eagerly waiting, and preparations toward the announcement are steadily underway. Please look forward to it just a little longer."
