Rogue Reigns Is a New Brazilian Dark Fantasy Roguelike Deckbuilder Coming in September to PC, Consoles

Brazilian indie developer Venn Studios has announced Rogue Reigns for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (Steam). It’ll be possible to play the game in September 2026, but the company has yet to provide a more specific release date while the game is still under development.

Along with the announcement, the developer has showcased a brand-new gameplay trailer for players to check out how the game works, offering a party system for combat. In its visuals, the game features a mix of procedurally generated 3D environments with hand-drawn characters using the company’s proprietary Wildcard engine.

A Broken World Built on Sacrifice

Described as a game about trust and sacrifice, Rogue Reigns is a roguelike deckbuilder in which the player must manage a party of up to three characters who can be combined in about 10 distinct compositions. Different combinations lead to unique interactions and strategies.

Though their abilities may synergize with each other, they aren’t truly aligned in their motivations, and it’ll be necessary to hold the group together. The world of Rogue Reigns promises to be a cruel experience: decaying, tragic and broken with imminent collapse on the horizon.
