What does the future hold for The Last Of Us? It's a question that's been on the minds of players everywhere since credits rolled on The Last Of Us Part 2 back in 2020. While Naughty Dog is currently hard at work on a brand-new IP, The Last of Us Part 3 remains a constant source of attention.

It probably didn't help matters that Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann teased the future of The Last of Us Part on Instagram at the end of March, confirming there are still "few stops that remain on the road ahead" for the series. So, while a new game may be on the cards, exactly when it's set, where it's set, and who should star in it is a pretty fierce topic of discussion for gamers.

For starters, there are some gamers who don't think we need a third game. While it can be pretty hard to let go of things we love (see: the general reaction to Joel's death), it's hard to argue.
