The 30th anniversary celebrations for Pokémon as a franchise were marked this year, with plenty of reasons for fans to be excited about what's coming down the pipeline over the next year or two. The headline act was undoubtedly the announcement of the first game of Generation 10, Pokémon Winds and Waves, which looks to be a marked departure from anything we have seen so far.
What you might not remember is that we already knew about Winds and Waves long before it was officially announced by developer Game Freak and The Pokémon Company this year. That initial news came as part of the infamous Teraleak, which exposed terabytes of confidential information from the companies concerned.
Interestingly, Winds and Waves wasn't the only game featured in the leaks, and if this other project turns out to be real as well, it really could be the one we have all been waiting for.
