Mass Effect fans waiting for the fifth mainline chapter in the series have been met with a lot of silence recently, but game director Michael Gamble has finally offered a little insight into the project's progress. The first Mass Effect game was one of the most influential RPGs of the 2000s, and many gamers have been eager to see what the next chapter has in store.

It's no secret that the wait for a new Mass Effect game has been a long one. Developer BioWare first announced the project all the way back in 2020 at that year's Game Awards, and there haven't been many major updates ever since. Of course, there have been hints and very small teasers via the community's annual N7 Day, but fans mostly just have short trailers and concept art to work off. However, Michael Gamble has finally spoken up about how development is coming along.
