It's been nearly five years since we've had a new Halo game, but that's going to change later this year, when Halo Studios, the rebranded development team once known as 343 Industries, releases Halo: Campaign Evolved, a modernized remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved that will celebrate both Xbox and the franchise's 25th anniversary.

What's more, it'll mark the debut of Halo, a longtime Xbox exclusive, on PlayStation, as the title is set to release on PlayStation 5. At the moment, there's no clear release date for Campaign Evolved, though some fans are convinced that a Fanta soda promotion has leaked the timeline.

Let's take a look back at one of the greatest campaign mission's in FPS history - Halo 3's Covenant.

Unfortunately, whenever Campaign Evolved does launch, as its name implies, it's going to be a campaign-only experience, with the franchise's iconic multiplayer suite taking a backseat.

However, that could change down the line, as one insider is claiming that Halo: Campaign Evolved isn't the only remake in the works over at Halo Studios.
