Updates on CI Games' upcoming Lords of the Fallen 2 have been slow since the game's reveal last year; however, the development team has revealed artwork of what the game's female armor sets will look like, which has drawn some controversy. Lords of the Fallen 2 is the sequel to 2023's Lords of the Fallen, which itself is a reboot of the 2014 game of the same name, but developed by a new studio.
The 2023 reboot of Lords of the Fallen was a fairly well-received entry in the ever-expanding soulslike genre, but unfortunately launched with several bugs and balancing issues that were all ironed out in the months and years that followed, with the game receiving updates as recently as December 2025. In what seems like a rather quick timeframe to turn over a sequel, CI Games is currently all-hands-on-deck with developing Lords of the Fallen 2, which was revealed at GamesCom 2025 and is set to release later this year.
