007 First Light developer IO Interactive has clapped back at early leaks of the game by uploading the first 13 minutes of its opening mission to YouTube.
As is the case for basically every big triple-A game nowadays, physical copies of 007 First Light have somehow managed to get into the hands of select players a whole week earlier than planned. Usually, this results in a ton of gameplay footage, spoilers, and livestreams leaking out, but First Light is a bit of a different case.
IO Interactive previously confirmed that you'll need to download a day one update to be able to play most of 007 First Light offline, which means that anyone with a physical copy can't really get very far currently. There is one part of the game that they can play, though, and the game's developer has already responded by uploading the mission itself to get ahead of spoilers.
Earlier today, the official IO Interactive YouTube channel suddenly uploaded the first 13 minutes of 007 First Light's campaign. Considering how close we are to launch, that might just seem like a bit of advertising to get people excited about the full game, but the video's description...
