Black Flag Resynced Devs Don't Want To Change The Fact That Edward Is A "Bad Assassin"

While Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a remake, Ubisoft has mentioned that it will be making certain changes, quality of life improvements, and even additions to the game. First off, the combat system is altered to make it a mix between the legacy counter-attacking format and the newer RPG combat. The tailing missions have also been changed to make sure you don't immediately fail upon detection.

While these are welcome changes, there are some that haven't gone down too well with fans. The biggest one is arguably the fact that you won't be able to use Edward's hidden blades as separate weapons. While there's surely more changes that will be discussed once the game is out, the devs wanted to ensure that they don't alter the fact that Edward was a "bad Assassin".

By "bad Assassin," game director Richard Knight didn't mean that he was bad at killing people. He just wasn't as noble as previous protagonists, like Altair, Ezio, or Connor. Edward was a pirate, after all, so it would make sense that he'd make deals and perform tasks for money. He did take a noble turn over the course of the game, but he was hardly...
