I hate the term 'larp.' All you see in fandoms now is people screaming 'larper' whenever they disagree as they desperately try to prove that they're the bigger fan, usually with some posturing over the hours they've accrued in a series or their achievements. It's all a bit silly, and has the same energy as a guy in a 20 revving his Lambo, only somehow more sad. All of this is to say that I hope the term larp dies, and we never have to hear it again, but with that being said, holy sh*t, 007 First Light is bringing out the larpers.
A post on X has been making the rounds from @YorchTorchGames, whose bio claims that "Western studios are watching nervously" (honestly, the blue tick says it all), in which he complains that James Bond is "being bossed around by a woman" in IO Interactive's newest game. "This is a disaster," he says, having never watched a James Bond movie or taken even the slightest bit of interest in the series until it could be used to drum up a culture war online.
Their post somehow has over 1,000 likes, but the comments and quote retweets sum it...
