007 First Light is more narrative heavy than IO Interactive's recent offerings, marrying the immersive sim sandbox of Hitman with the more linear action set-pieces of Uncharted, but the team still has plans for post-launch content to keep the experience going. As reported by Eurogamer, IO Interactive doesn't want 007 First Light to be a "one and done" experience, and plans to expand on the Tactical Simulations (or 'TacSims' for short) found in MI6 headquarters where you can take on various challenges that "remix" existing areas.
IO Interactive is already considering a sequel, too.
"There might be encounters where there was no combat encounter there before at all, and now we've actually reused the space in a clever way," senior combat designer Tom Marcham explained. "TacSim is basically a space in which we can remix our levels."
Chief development officer Véronique Lallier noted that this is something the team has done "very successfully with Hitman," and that plans are already in motion for new post-launch TacSims and a "roadmap of content."
