Fable Delayed Again, Pushing It Out Of The GTA 6 Window

Fable has been delayed again, pushing it out of 2026 entirely. The long-awaited reboot is now set to launch sometime in February 2027.

To make up for the delay, developer Playground Games promises a new look at Fable soon. The studio says that the game will feature at the big Xbox showcase on June 7, just over a week away from now. We've already had a decent look at the gameplay, but the devs say there are still some "big Fable reveals" to come, so it sounds like there's still plenty we haven't seen.

Announcing the move, neither Playground nor Microsoft make any mention of the delay being made so that the devs have more time to work on the game. Instead, it's set out as a scheduling decision, since 2026 is already looking stacked - although the additional development time will no doubt be put to some use.
